Energy Engineer at Pleevi

As an Energy Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing our energy management solutions. You will leverage cutting-edge algorithms and optimization techniques to drive efficiency and sustainability in energy consumption. A critical part of your mission will be diving into data to understand the benefit simulation and reporting of the Pleevi engine, ensuring our customers achieve maximum value from our solutions. We are looking for proactive individuals who can translate business use cases into actionable technical solutions and thrive in a dynamic startup environment.

What you'll do

• Algorithm Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of our state of the art forecasting and optimization framework.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Dive deep into data to analyze, simulate, and report on the benefits of the Pleevi engine, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

• Business Translation: Analyze business use cases and translate them into algorithmic improvements and software feature requirements.

• Technology Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to align technical priorities with commercial strategies.

• Software Integration: Implement and test algorithmic solutions, ensuring seamless integration into our SaaS platform.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with advancements in energy management technologies and contribute to the evolution of our product offerings.

Job requirements

• Educational Background: A master's degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or a related field.

• Algorithm Expertise: Experience in developing and applying optimization techniques in energy systems.

• Optimization techniques: Knowledge about mathematical optimization and forecasting techniques to dive in the key components of our Model Predictive Control based solution.

• Energy Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the energy market and energy value chain, understanding the roles of energy suppliers, energy flexibility providers and grid operators, understanding short and long term price mechanisms in the electricity market.

• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python for scientific programming, modeling, and optimization.

• Data Analytics: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for extracting insights from large datasets.

• Agility & Autonomy: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to drive team success.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required.
